Clean beauty making its presenting debut at last night’s 92nd Annual Academy Awards? As fans would say about Brad and Jen at this year’s SAG Awards: we stan! It was a night filled with showstopping musical performances, gut-busting comedy, heartfelt acceptance speeches – and of course, stunning beauty looks.

Personally, our night was made complete by seeing Star Wars actress Kelly Marie Tran presenting on Hollywood’s biggest stage – wearing 100% PURE™ fruit pigmented® makeup! Tran was the first Asian American actress to play a major role in the Star Wars universe, and also the first Asian woman to snag the front cover of Vanity Fair. Now that’s what we call iconic behavior!

The Vietnamese beauty made old Hollywood glam new again in a figure-hugging Schiaparelli gown and Graziela jewels. Her signature nude makeup look featured hints of metallic shimmer, as super soft waves of glossy hair cascaded over her shoulders. Under the care of celebrity makeup artist Hinako, Kelly’s flawless skin and natural beauty were on full display for the world to admire – and the look is easy to recreate at home!

How to Get Kelly Marie Tran’s Oscars Red Carpet Look

While award shows like the Grammys and Met Gala are big for edgy designs and bold artistic expression, the Oscars red carpet is relied on for timeless, refined beauty that can stand the test of time. "I was definitely inspired by the gorgeous dress, which made me just speechless,” Hinako said of Kelly’s Oscars beauty look. “I always want to create a timeless look for these major carpets."

As such, this is a look that can be dressed up for the Oscars red carpet, flaunted at the office, or swept away with your weekend plans. To recreate this versatile (and totally achievable) makeup look, check out the details below!

How do you know your salon is really sterile? The truth is we don’t. The possible health risks related to salon pedicures are enough for some to throw in the hot towels. Within those bubbly bath waters and the technicians’ tool bins lie hidden dangers for your feet and beyond.

STEP #1 – Soft, luminous skin
Pro makeup artists know that red carpet looks demand a reliable primer, because flashbulbs won’t be kind to shine. Hinako primed Kelly’s skin with our pore-perfecting Mattifying Primer to get a smooth, long-lasting base. Silky seaweed collagen fills fine lines and plumps the skin for a hydrated glow, keeping makeup shine-free for hours on end.

Kelly’s makeup artist refined her complexion using the super hydrating Fruit Pigmented® Full Coverage Water Foundation in shade Warm 4.0. This formula serves a red carpet-worthy balance of matte and satin finishes, with full coverage and a hint of dew that makes skin look effortlessly glowy. Our 2nd Skin Concealer was applied to her under eyes and imperfections (as if she has any?!) in Shade 3.

After step two is complete, you’ll go back and set your entire face with the Bamboo Blur Powder. Hinako used shade Medium for Kelly.

STEP #2 – Petal pink cheeks
Applied Fruit Pigmented Lip & Cheek Tint in Sugar Plum on her cheeks. To set and amplify this rosy cream blush, Hinako dusted the pressed powder Fruit Pigmented® Blush in pinky coral Mimosa.

To create a subtle contour effect, she dusted our Cocoa Pigmented Bronzer in Cocoa Glow under Kelly’s cheekbones. To finish defining her heart shaped face, Hinako applied the Gemmed Luminizer in Copper Gold to the top of Kelly’s cheeks.

STEP #3 – Eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara
If you’ve seen Kelly on the red carpet before, you know that those gorgeous eyes can pretty much stop traffic. To complement her monolid eyes, Hinako started by carefully smudging the Creamy Long Last Eyeliner in Blackest. With silky jojoba oil as its key ingredient, this pencil liner can easily be manipulated for either a crisp or smokey line.

To echo the shine of Kelly’s Schiaparelli gown, Hinako used both matte and shimmer shades from our award-winning Fruit Pigmented® Eye Shadow collection. With a small brush she patted the warm, reddish brown pigment of Bronze over the black eyeliner, smudging it out to the outer “v” of Kelly’s lid.

Cinnaban – a light shimmery copper with pink undertones – was applied over Bronze and blended along the lower lash line for seductive smokiness. For a final touch of luminosity, Hinako dusted pearly Prism from the Rose Gold Palette to her tear duct.

Hinako finished Kelly’s eyes by applying “a little flick” of our Long Last Liquid Eye Liner for definition. Our Ultra Lengthening Mascara in Black Tea finished the look, with two coats of pigment to give her lashes full, feathery volume.

STEP #4 – Rosy nude lips
Last but not least, this red carpet look wouldn’t be complete without a touch of juicy fruit pigments on Kelly Marie Tran’s precious pout! To achieve a hybrid matte-gloss finish, Hinako first used our Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick in Sahara as a base on clean, moisturized lips.

She finished with our pinky brown, ultra glossy and super pigmented Butterchew Lip Caramel. With this duo, Hinako gave Kelly a deep, neutral nude-pink pout with a perfectly satin finish.

Kelly’s red carpet look is easily one of our all-time favorite fruit pigmented® moments for award season! To get more behind the scenes info and insider tips, stay tuned on our blog or follow us on Instagram at @100percentpure.
