- ridge filler
- base coat
My nails had so many uneven areas after getting a gel mani for the holidays. This helped polish go on smoother and stay on longer. Love it!
Horsetail base vs. Ridge filler base comparison
I love this base. It makes my nails look so smooth and polished. I recommend just doing one coat and then topcoat, otherwise you'll get a strong orange hue with the more layers. I did a comparison between the ridge filler base and the horsetail base coats. This is about 6 days after application under 3 layers of the ruby chocolate nail polish and then the top coat. The picture with the obvious Chipped index finger is the ridge filler base, and the other is the horsetail base. If you're looking for durability, horsetail base coat is the way to go. If you just want a polished natural look without adding color, ridge filler base works fine with a top coat.
Wasn't a fan, but 100% Pure Was Very Understanding
I wasn't too big of a fan of this base. The smell was horrible (I'm comparing this to their other Zero nail polishes) and it dried matte...I guess I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting a pretty polish with a shiny finish that I could use as a base for a French manicure, but it didn't work for me. Nevertheless, 100% Pure was understanding and exchanged me out for their top coat that I ended up really loving.
It goes on smooth and does it's job of filling in the ridges on my nails. I like the concept of removing many of the harmful chemicals that are in many products today.
Just tried it last night. Love it.
