What is the benefit of using a base coat polish?
A base coat polish acts as a protective layer between your nails and colored polishes. It can prevent staining, enhance polish adherence, and provide additional strength to the nails.
Why is the exclusion of toxins like formaldehyde and toluene essential in nail polishes?
Chemicals like formaldehyde and toluene have been linked to skin irritations, organ toxicity, and more. By excluding these toxins, the polish provides a safer, healthier option for nail care.
How does horsetail plant benefit the nails?
Horsetail plant is rich in silica, which is essential for strong and healthy nails. It can help strengthen brittle nails and promote healthy nail growth.
Can a base coat polish be used on its own?
Yes, a base coat can be worn on its own to provide a clear, protective finish while benefiting from its nail-strengthening properties.
How often should I apply a base coat polish?
Whenever you're applying colored polish, you should start with a base coat. If worn alone, you can reapply as needed, typically once a week for maintenance.
Why is the horsetail plant a significant ingredient in the Horsetail Base Coat Polish?
The horsetail plant is a potent botanical known for its high silica content. In our Horsetail Base Coat Polish, it serves to strengthen nails, promote healthy nail growth, and protect the delicate nail bed, offering more than just a standard base coat's benefits.

This nail polish is great, it’s very protective of my thin nails, last s a long time, as a top coat it’s great too!!!
Great Base Coat!
I have been using this base coat for years. Love how I don't have to worry about toxic chemicals being absorbed into my body!
Haven't received it yet
It's been over a month and my order has not arrived
Easy to use, didn't help longevity
I wore this for the first time under the Dune polish. Easy to apply and nice consistency however, polish came off day 3. All fingers were perfect days 1 and 2, but by third there was chipping across all tops of nails. Do I also need a top coat? Bummer.
Great Base Coat
This base coat really helps the polish to last! So happy that I tried it.
