Fruit Pigmented® Easy Fall Makeup Looks

THISTLE Fall Makeup

Face Chart

This fall makeup look gives a nod to J. JS. Lee and their smokey, hot copper eyeshadow looks they were serving on the runway this fall. We’ve softened this makeup look for everyday wear, and have skipped synthetic dyes and potentially irritating synthetic shimmer to opt for fruit pigments and responsibly sourced mica. This fruit pigmented® fall makeup look toes the line between frisky and fierce, with a neutral softness that anyone can pull off.

Makeup breakdown for this look:

On the Face

Just because summer’s over doesn’t mean you can pack away that SPF. We’re using SPF 15 BB Cream to get that creamy, dreamy finish that simultaneously serves dewy and medium coverage with a soft glow. To refine the look, we’ve dusted translucent Bamboo Blur Powder to forehead, nose, under eyes and chin with our extra fluffy luxe Powder Brush.

On the Lids

We’ve made this look foolproof by using only fruit pigmented® eyeshadow shades from our Pretty Naked makeup palette. We used warm bronze Chestnut all over the lid and beneath the waterline, then enhanced the outer corners and crease with a touch of smokey taupe Toffee; this creates a neutral smokiness that’s amped up by the warm metallic undertone in Chestnut.

We finished by buffing the metallic eyeshadows into the brow bone and crease with neutral nude Flax Seed, then added a slightly smudged application of rich brown Creamy Long Last Liner in Dark Cacao. We love a classic pencil liner for smokey eyes, since they’re easier to smudge and buff with a blunt, cruelty free smudger brush. The rich, warm browns of this smokey eye makeup look will serve as stunning compliments to changing fall leaves and cups of hot cocoa!

On the Lids

We used our cruelty free blush brush to blend the neutral peachy-nude Pretty Naked Blush (included in your PN makeup palette) to the apples of the cheeks. Dip into toasty Rose Gold Gemmed Luminizer and apply lightly to cheekbones, nose, and chin for a radiant glow that catches light in all the right places.

On the Brows

This pocket-sized brow wonder is a favorite of beauty editors because of its ultra lightweight finish, long lasting wear, and flawless color tint. Brush upwards first, then down towards the tail for defined and refined strands.

On the Lashes

We finished this fall makeup look by coating our lashes in deep brown pigment from real cocoa powder and black tea leaves. Ultra Lengthening Mascara in Dark Chocolate enhances your fall friendly chocolatey glow, while fortifying lashes with wheat protein and Pro-Vitamin B5.

Thistle

On the Lips

We’re shining the fall makeup spotlight on Thistle: a warm, velvety smooth Pomegranate Lipstick shade from our newest fall collection that hints at subtle 90’s vibes. This milk chocolate brown has rosy undertones that tip it towards neutral, but make it just warm enough to compliment the bronze undertones in this look and natural flush in your cheeks. This semi-gloss lipstick serves as the finishing touch to our first fall makeup look!

WINECUP Fall Makeup

Product Face Chart

This timeless fall makeup look takes a page from Dolce & Gabbana’s book by highlighting a winged liner like the ones featured in their fall ready-to-wear runway show, with a punch of berry pigment added to the lips. We chose a neutral berry with a touch of smokiness and an almost-cool undertone. We kept the lids neutral and soft enough for any fall outing, but added an adjustable winged liner that can give it either a vampy or graphic edge.

Makeup breakdown for this look:

On the Face

We’re aiming for a full coverage finish that feels lighter than air, so we snagged our fan favorite foundation: Fruit Pigmented® Healthy Skin Foundation. Soothing aloe and antioxidant rich fruit oils nourish fall skin while giving you a seamless finish.

On the Lids

The Pretty Naked 2 is a skin healthy makeup palette beloved by fans and stars alike, and our fave neutral makeup palette for day or night. We used 2 of the palette’s eyeshadow shades, starting with nude gold Beam all over the lid (applied with a flat cruelty free eyeshadow brush). We finished by blending deep, taupe brown Splendor in the crease and gave an opal glimmer to inner corners with the PN2’s Illume luminizer; both were applied with a soft cruelty free Crease Brush.

The liquid liner in this fall makeup look is totally adjustable: you can go high, horizontal, or give the tail a little curve for a retro vibe. We used a natural, black tea pigmented liquid liner that won’t budge until we say so: this gives you peace of mind that you won’t be running around with smudged raccoon eyes!

On the Cheeks

We used Pretty Naked II rustic peachy blush Afterglow on the apples of cheeks, then brushed luminosity to high points of the face with dusty pink Illume luminizer for a touch of opalescence.

On the Brows

We love our Long Last Brows, since fall tends to be when we’re at our busiest: work, school, and pre-holiday madness are in full swing, and we need our best brows to be strapped down tight! We applied this cocoa, black tea, and fruit pigmented® brow formula onto brows with the precision edge of our Cruelty Free Dual Ended Eyebrow Brush, then brushed with the spoolie end to ensure even pigment distribution between strands.

On the Lashes

We finished this fall makeup look by coating our lashes in dramatic, lash separating black pigment from real cocoa and black tea leaves. This Ultra Lengthening Mascara in Black Tea is water resistant and long lasting, while fortifying lashes with wheat protein and Pro-Vitamin B5.

Winecup

On the Lips

We centered this look around an antique berry, matte lipstick with serious lip softening potential. We applied Winecup as the final finish, giving this fall makeup look a touch of classic color with a modern twist.

Our 6 Fave 2017 Fall Makeup Trends

There have been tons of swoon-worthy makeup trends in the fashion world this fall, and we’re loving the combo of a fresh face and soft n’ bold color highlights. While some looks never get old (we’re looking at you, nude makeup and winged liner), there are plenty of fresh ways to play up your natural makeup look this fall by checking the trend radar and using skin healthy fruit pigmented® makeup. Here are a few of our absolute fave makeup trends for fall...

Wind-chilled skin + peach glow

While peach has a knack for evoking images of iced tea and sunny summer porches, let’s not count out this fuzzy fruit for fall makeup! The orange undertones of peach play nicely with the classic fall color palette of burnt orange, red, and brown; peach serves as a soft and fresh nod to the pumpkin-hued surroundings that dominate the fall landscape.

Play up peach by starting with a dewy foundation base to give your skin a fresh, wind chilled glow. Add creamy Peach Glow Lip & Cheek Tint (colored by real peaches) to the apples of your cheeks for a warm, natural flush. Finish with the same tint on your lips, applying from the center outwards for a subtle peachy pout.

Taupe + glossy lids

It’s no secret, we love a good smokey eye (see our Thistle Fall Makeup above). What we love even more? An unexpected and ultramodern combo of charcoal and gloss, layered on the lid for a dramatic finish. Try taupe nude Toffee from our Pretty Naked Palette, or taupe lilac Provocateur from Sex Kitten Palette to apply all over the lid. Hang in there, this is where it gets weird: now apply a lip gloss to your eyelids, dabbing gently with a flat shader brush. Our lip glosses are free of harsh chemicals and dyes and rich in vitamin E, so your lids will love you for this one.

Kohl-rimmed eyes + nude lips

Giving a nod to the 1990’s is a makeup trend that’s still going strong, and this pretty fall look plays it off perfectly. Lightly line eyes with a long lasting black eye pencil, making sure to trace your waterline too. Go for a nude luminizer on the cheeks for some enhanced radiance, and a nude fruit pigmented® lipstick that blends with the undertones in your skin (think Cassia (fair), Sahara (medium), or Cacti (deep).

Brushed up brows + berry stained lips

We’re a bit brow obsessed over here, and love that this fall makeup trend is putting these two facial accessories front and center. Feathery brows bring a youthfulness to the face, and a softly stained lip adds to the sprite-like energy of this fall makeup trend. Brush brows up with your Green Tea Fiber Brow builder for added body, refinement, and a hint of color.

After you’ve applied your foundation (making sure to overlap a bit onto lips), dab Cherry Lip & Cheek Stain to the center of your lips. With your lip brush or clean fingers, blend lightly from the center towards the edges of your lips.

Rosy flush + dewy skin

The romance of this fall makeup trend is making us swoon: we’re head over heels for an antique spring color palette that’s being deepened and reutilized for fall. Rose is simply flattering on any skin tone, and we’re loving it all over the place for this look: eyes, cheeks, and lips. To go the one-and-done route, apply a creamy Lip & Cheek Tint to all 3 areas (try Shimmery Strawberry (fair-medium) or Sugar Plum (medium-deep)). If you want deeper pigment for your lips, try the rosy hues of Buttercup (fair-medium) or Clover (medium-deep) Pomegranate Lipsticks. A natural tinted moisturizer or mineral BB cream are your BFFs for getting skin dewy and fresh.

Glossy cheekbones + understated makeup

On the runway this fall, we saw a huge amp-up in dewiness and glow for cheekbones. Fresh faced, youthfully lit highlight on dew-kissed supple skin turned lots of heads; the rest of the makeup was minimal with only a light lip stain or gloss, brushed up brows, and feathery mascara application. Applying a softly luminous BB Cream and layering on a liquid luminizer to the high points of cheeks will get you this super simple, fresh faced fall makeup look.
